Raising a litter of puppies takes a tremendous amount of effort, energy, and enthusiasm. Because of my busy schedule heading up a firm with staff, caring for the farm animals residing here, and my many other duties, great thought goes into a litter born at MontRose. It is not always easy to get a MontRose puppy. I am going to expect that you have knowledge of dog behaviour and that a MontRose Australian Shepherd puppy is the dog for you! If you are interested in a MontRose puppy, please review our puppy policy and questionnaire
MontRose Next Review "Revy" whelped a litter of seven puppies on August 9 sired by AKC/ASCA Ch Wind Spirit Great Messenger "Cobb." Though this was not a "planned" litter and it only takes someone preoccupied with something else and forgetting to shut a gate or open a door, we are now quite interested in the possibilities of this litter. The dam of the litter does carry one copy of the hereditary cataract gene as does her dam who is eight years of age and both have eye clearances at Cornell University with no notations. Revy and puppies will be eye checked at Cornell University on September 30th. Theoretically, 50% of the litter could carry the gene. There are three black tri females and four black tri males. There are a few reservation spots still available.
